Well, my really big new is . . .
What Used to be Arkansas is now available in ebook and on Kindle Unlimited at Amazon!
I’ve seen a few of you have read it already! I’d love to hear what you thought of it. :)
Friends and Enemies. Life and Death.
Happy to be settled into a community, the last thing Molly wants is to jeopardize her place there. To find peace at her new home, she keeps the abilities forced upon her by a madman a secret. But when dear friends go missing, Molly’s hidden strengths may be necessary to find them.
Axel led his band of orphans to safety. With the help of his friend, Wolf, they have taught them how to stay safe and survive. Yet their lives are threatened once more when a shark-like monster shows up in their part of the river. To keep his people alive, Axel must find a way to defeat the ravenous beast.
For the sake of those they hold dear, Molly and Axel travel farther into this new world than ever before.
Cruel betrayals.
Clan Kings who rule with iron fists.
Creatures who defy the imagination.
What Molly and Axel find on their quest could be their salvation… or their doom.
Winner of the Drawing!
This is for those that commented on the newsletter telling me why you enjoy post-apocalyptic or dystopian books. They had a chance to win the ebook box set Days of Want Series: (Books 1-4) by T. L. Payne! There were only a few so your chances were higher.
And the winner is . . . Jackie Tansky!
Congrats Jackie! I’ll send that out to your email.
I’ll be doing drawings periodically so there will be another chance to win soon. :)
(Just as a note, some replies come right to my email and are not published on Substack.)
Survey
Let’s do a fun little survey. The next book I’m writing is What Used to be Louisiana. What do you know about Louisiana? A lot? A little? Nothing?
I’m going to fess up and admit that although I’ve always been fascinated Louisiana, I only know what I’ve seen on TV. So I’ll have to do a lot of digging to make sure I represent it well—because TV isn’t always the accurate depiction of an area.
For instance, my mother is from Virginia and my father from from southern West Virginia. If I believed most television programs, I would imagine my relatives were willfully ignorant, toothless, belligerent people and not the loving, considerate, and giving people they truly are.
So TV isn’t where I’ll be getting my info. ;)
