Molly woke gagging, her mouth so dry her tongue seemed glued to the roof of her mouth. She dragged her eyelids open, ignoring their resistance. Everything looked dim at first, then too intense, as if she walked out of a shadowy tunnel into brilliant light.
She pushed up and settled onto her elbows. She was back in the room she’d used the night before.
