“One thing that has me thinking,” Axel said, “is who to leave in charge. Not a whole lot of people are up to the task.” He glanced at Wolf before looking away. “Especially if we, you know, don’t make it back.”
His friend’s jaw tightened. “It’s why you shouldn’t go. You’re needed here.”
“I know. But I can’t ask others to do something I’m not willing to do.”
